Ben de Jong is a historian and lecturer at the Department of Russian and East European studies at the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). Wies Platje is a retired lieutenant-commander of the Royal Dutch Navy with a long career in the Netherlands Navy Intelligence Service.
